Keeping communist traditions on the grounds of protecting sovereignty
They write reports, disseminate government propaganda and, when Fidesz's political interests require it, they envision foreign agents. They operate on an annual budget of 6 billion forints, but whether anyone reads their reports remains a question. Comparing their terminology with that of the newspapers from the early days of the communist regime in Hungary is quite chilling. This is the Sovereignty Protection Office.
